Online Casino - Online Casino Operator Tradal Chooses Land-Based Casino Giant Steinberg as Chairman
May 23, 2005 Lord Leonard Steinberg, chairman of Stanley Leisure, will soon be the new chairman of Tradal, the online casino group which runs Empire Poker. The company is planning a flotation of £550m. Steinberg, a leader in land-based casino gaming, joins Tradal shortly after Tradal hired stockbroker Numis to aid Tradal’s potential listing on the London Stock Exchange.
Steinberg recently sold off the bookmaking area of his own business to William Hill, and is now focused on the more upscale Mayfair Casinos. The main focus of Tradal’s business is providing customers for other online gambling sites, such as Party Poker, which is also planning a float.
Tradal plans for floatation prices to be competitive and perhaps discounted, compared to other online casino and gaming operators currently on the market.
